31:T85c,# Projected Evictions from Shelters for Chicago Asylum seekers Actual evictions have started and [are being tracked here](https://observablehq.com/@fgregg/60-day-policy-evictions) On November 17, 2023, the [Brandon Johnson administration announced a policy that asylum seekers would be allowed to stay in shelters for 60 days](https://www.chicago.gov/city/en/depts/mayor/press_room/press_releases/2023/november/announcement-new-regulatory-measures.html). That policy has been amended a number of times, most significantly on [January 29th, 2024](https://news.wttw.com/2024/01/29/chicago-won-t-evict-migrants-until-least-mid-march-mayor-brandon-johnson-announces) and on [March 15, 2024](https://news.wttw.com/2024/03/15/evictions-migrants-chicago-city-shelters-start-sunday-families-children-get-respite-until).
