This is a significantly higher number than we'd expect from a dataset which is representative of the population, so we can't draw any conclusions utilizing these demographics.\n\nHowever, each other visualization in this notebook utilizes the Last.fm API, which is scraped every time this page is loaded. Say I selected Sia, you can easily see that she is ranked in the top50 countries of Romania, Jersey, and Belgium. You can also see that she is ranked low in Kuwait, Morroco, and Turkmenistan. Our project focuses on exploring different ways to present such data that is interesting and unique to the user. Our data came from last.fm, a site most probably haven't heard of. We took a look at different user profiles, their demographics, and play count which gave us an interesting idea of what age group is listening to the most music. Given the chart it was clear that older women tended to listen to more music than older men. The rest of the maps and charts focus on the artists and how each of them are ranked in different countries. This gave us insight on who the most popular artists were around the world and not just the United States. The last part of our project focuses on providing more information to the user to explore on their own about a given track and artist.
