`32:T8e7,md`## How Class is Going to Go: ### The In-Person Part (Thurs and Fri Webinars) Each week, we will meet for an hour to go over the materials you looked at for that lesson. We’ll do a poll at the beginning of the meeting to identify the areas people are having the most difficulty with, and go over those topics as a class. We will then open up the remaining time for general questions on that week’s material. ### Asynchronous Content (AKA Homework) All lecture materials are listed under the “Materials” column in the table above. They are pretty self-explanatory for the most part, and it is highly recommended that you at least read over these before the Thurs/Fri webinars. There are exercises attached to each notebook to test your knowledge of the material presented, which are often a good idea to complete to the extent possible before the webinars as well. Coding is a discipline in which practice makes perfect, so you are highly encouraged to complete the exercises because they’ve been scientifically proven to help ☺️. ## What to do if you get Stuck It happens to all of us, so don’t panic! It’s a regular part of both programming and learning, so there are some good steps you can take to get un-stuck: #### Step 1: Take a deeeeeeep breath If you’re stuck, there’s probably a good chance that you’re frustrated, and Mad Code === Bad Code. If you’re at this point, step away from your code for a little bit and do something else entirely. Trust me- it helps. #### Step 2: Google might help If you are confused about some syntactical construct (“How on Earth do for loops work?”) or a programming concept, chances are that somebody has answered your question online. Search on Google, DuckDuckGo, or YouTube… That’s easily 40% of a professional programmer’s day. #### Step 3: Ask a friend for help Still stuck? That’s OK; we’ve all been there before! Now is the time to reach out for help! you can ask your local coding guru or programming buddy. If that fails, try posting a question to [StackOverflow](https://stackoverflow.com/) or your company's Slack Channel.
